One great way to sort through the scores of high-end kitchen design companies is to pay attention to architects and designers who enter – and win – the Sub-Zero and Wolf Kitchen Design Contest. The most recent Kitchen Design Contest, which took place in 2022-23, attracted more than 1,600 entries from around the world. Entries for the current contest (2024-25) are underway and must be submitted by January 31, 2026.

In March 2026, judges will evaluate all qualifying submissions based on the best functional and aesthetic use of Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances and overall kitchen design and the final winner announcement will be released in May 2026. “Distinguishing high end kitchen design firms by their use of Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances is a fair bar to clear,” explains Sean Clarke, president of the Clarke Corporation, which operates the three exclusive Sub-Zero and Wolf showrooms in New England. “If a kitchen incorporates Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove products in its design, the designer understands that the homeowner is looking for excellence in both the design and performance of the kitchen. When that design firm incorporates the appliances in a unique way, they actually raise the bar for others.”
